Retford robbery arrest made

A man has been arrested after a corner shop in Retford was robbed by someone armed with a broken bottle.

Nottinghamshire Police say a shop in Wesley Road was targeted at around 9.25pm on 5 August.

A man wearing a baseball cap and face covering reportedly entered the store with a broken glass bottle, jumped over the counter and demanded cash.

Police say more than £700 was stolen from the till.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery on Monday 17 August.

Detectives say enquiries are continuing, and they have released images of a man they want to identify.
