A man has been arrested following a high-speed police pursuit and a suspected burglary near Mansfield.
Officers were initially alerted that a BMW was being driven by a possible drink-driver in the Mansfield area and began following the vehicle in the early hours of Sunday (25 October).
A pursuing police car was rammed by the vehicle and a member of the public's car was also damaged as the BMW reached speeds of almost 100mph after failing to stop.
The offending car was found abandoned outside a pub in Nottingham Road, Ravenshead.
It was then reported a short time later that a Range Rover had been stolen following a home break-in a short distance away.
Investigations revealed the Range Rover had been driven away from Ravenshead in the direction of Chesterfield, Derbyshire, where it was later found dumped on a country road.
Further inquiries led to the arrest of a man later that day and officers are also working to track down other people believed to be involved.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, failing to stop and dangerous driving. He has been bailed with strict conditions while investigations continue.
