Mansfield District Council is creating a new register of local community groups and charities that could benefit from practical support.
The scheme will link eligible organisations with contractors working in partnership with the council.
Help could include decorating, minor repairs, gardening, clean-up projects and staff volunteering, with groups invited to register for future opportunities.
