East Midlands fire investigation dogs Ginny and Barney have won national recognition at the UK Service Dogs Awards.
Ginny and Barney, alongside handlers Dave Coss and Tim Marston, won the Special Team Award.
The dogs provide specialist fire investigation support across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
They help fire and police investigators identify the causes of fires and gather evidence in criminal investigations.
Their work has supported major arson cases and serious crime enquiries across the region.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service says the team has contributed to cases resulting in 580 years of custodial sentences since December 2021.
The award also recognises the regional partnership between the four East Midlands fire and rescue services.
