Jail for dealer caught in Mansfield

A drug dealer was caught after he was spotted making a sale.

Jack Marshall, aged 36, was stopped and searched after a member of the public reported him for plying his trade in West Gate, Mansfield.

Marshall was found to be in possession of multiple wraps of 'Mamba' – a powerful synthetic cannabinoid popular with members of the homeless community.

A mobile phone and cash were also seized, along with additional drugs and a dealer list during a subsequent search of Marshall's  former home address in Mansfield.

After this first arrest on Friday 17 January 2025, Marshall was caught in the act again in Mansfield town centre on Wednesday 5 March 2025.

On that occasion, he was found with multiple deal bags of Mamba and another prescribed medication stuffed into his boxer shorts, as well as a bag strapped to his chest containing cash.

Additional drugs, deal bags, scales and a mobile phone were found during another search of his home address.

Marshall, of Eakring Road, Bilsthorpe, later pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply but failed to appear at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing.

On 2 October this year, he was finally brought before the court, where he pleaded guilty to an additional count of failing to surrender and was jailed for 21 months.
