Residents are being invited to comment on Mansfield’s latest draft Local Plan, which would guide development in the district up to 2043.
Mansfield District Council has published the Publication Draft of its Local Plan Review.
The plan sets out where new homes, business growth, infrastructure and environmental protections should be focused up to 2043.
It includes provision for at least 9,900 new homes between 2023 and 2043, including affordable housing and homes for older people.
The plan continues to support strategic developments at Pleasley Hill Farm, land off Jubilee Way and Berry Hill.
It also includes policies on renewable energy, flood risk, green infrastructure, biodiversity and sustainable transport.
The draft is due to go before Full Council, with consultation expected to run from 29 September to 10 November if approved.
