Newark's policing team and council have combined to close two problem properties in the town.
The addresses in Barrows Gate and Yorke Drive have been linked to various issues for some time now.
Reports of persistent nuisance and antisocial behaviour have been plaguing residents for several months.
Taking the Barrows Gate address first up, this private property has been accessed by multiple people without permission.
That has subsequently led to it becoming an open house for drug use, criminal activity and antisocial behaviour.
Newark and Sherwood District Council, working in partnership with the police, has now secured a closure order to prevent further misuse.
That three-month order was secured at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Friday (9 October) and bans anyone from going inside it for that period.
A closure order of the same length was also secured that same day for a separate council-owned property based in Yorke Drive, Newark.
In this case, the tenant allowed the address to be used by various individuals who then caused nuisance and significant concern to other residents.
Anyone who defies either closure order by entering the properties in Yorke Drive or Barrows Gate faces the prospect of imprisonment and/or a big fine.
